Okinawa Military Community Writers is a drop-in writing group hosted at Kadena Library every other Saturday. We provide mutual feedback, suggestions for resources, tips and techniques. Anyone age 18 and up is welcome to participate.

About the Authors:
Kyle Belote is a prior Marine and currently serving the Marine Corps and their Family Community in Okinawa, Japan. He hails from Wimberley, Texas, a small town in the hill country just southwest of Austin. When he is writing, he enjoys writing character conflict and development, controversial issues with equal representation of sides, and an overall engaging story. Kyle is a huge Star Wars fan and Expanded Universe novel fanatic. He enjoys a diverse amount of films, shows, and books. His life advice is: “Don’t be afraid to try and fail; you tried where others never dared at all.”
Dave Williamson is an enlisted Air Force aircrew member living on Okinawa with over 20 years in the service. He is married to a phenomenal, supportive wife, and has four awesome children. Dave loves drinking coffee, singing, playing piano, writing, video games, tabletop role-playing games, and drinking more coffee. He has two self-published novels and is a published contributing author in Chicken Soup for the Soul.
